The preferences of drugs on the base of nano- and microparticles are reviewed in comparison with traditional drug forms. The application of supercritical fluids for the production of nano- and microforms of pharmaceutical substances including drug delivery systems on the base of polymers and liposomes is discussed. The methods based upon the use of supercritical fluids, such as RESS, GAS, ASES, SAS, SEDS were shown to be of the most value for the production of nano- and microforms of drugs.
