Key words: black fuel oil (masout), cracking, cracking products, ozonation
Transformations of components of ozonized and initial black fuel oil (masout) in decane and tetraline medium are studied. It is demonstrated that the product distribution is affected by the type of solvent and that the preliminary ozonation leads to the increase of the distillate fraction yield by 22—29 % as compared to the initial masout in decane medium. In the resins obtained by cracking of ozonized masout the total average number of cycles in their molecules decreases from 4.6 to 3.2; also, the fraction of saturated cycles in the structural unit of their molecules is decreased substantially (from 2.39 to 1.12). The fraction of relatively volatile n-alkanes С12—С17 in oils produces by cracking of ozonized masout is increased.
