Mechanisms controlling the nucleation kinetics in the foamed amorphous D,L-polylactide, which is preliminary plasticized using sub-ical or supercritical carbon dioxide, are established using analysis of videodata on the depressurization-induced quasi-isothermal (313,3 K) foaming of the polymer. Possible scenarios of the phase separation in the polylatide—carbon dioxide system at the stage, which precedes the expressed foam formation, are considered.
